WHO WILL BE THE MILDURA MASTER?
The Field is set for the 2017 Mallee Bearings Mildura Sidecar Masters this Saturday night February the 11th at Olympic Park Speedway.
A top quality field of Australia’s and New Zealands best sidecar teams will battle it out over 20 heats and two finals to become the Mildura Masters Champion.
Some of the teams that will be starting off as favourites will be local Icon Warren Monson/Andrew Summerhayes, Australia five Byren Gates/Mick O’Loughlin, Former New Zealand Champions Andrew Buchanan/Denny Cox and reigning Australia Three Shane Hudson/Eli Wright.
Monson and Summerhayes had some bad luck in the Victorian Sidecar Championship two weeks ago after scoring a maximum in the heats there sidecar machine caught on fire just before the final ending the chances in the championship, they will be keen to show there dominance in the Masters.
Other teams that will be in contention will be Broken Hill Sidecar Champions RickHowse/Adam Commons, father son team of Dave Bottrell/Chris Bottrell,the brother/sister team of Arron and Teagan Hartwig and local teams of Neale Hancock/Brendan Johnson and Clint Mayes/Sean Coleby.
The heat will be just as hot in the MX Mayhem with Australia’s best dirt track racers fighting it out around the Olympic Park track local dirt track stars Nick Waters and Rowan Tegart headline the field. A field of eight quality dirt trackers have assembled with the possibility of having Josh and Brodie Waters joining them if they can get away from there Phillip Island commitments in time.
