Two of Australia’s best speedway riders in local Australian number 3 Justin Sedgmen and Australian under 21 Champion Max Fricke are confirmed starters for the 2015 Victorian Solo Speedway Championships on Saturday December the 5th at Olympic Park Speedway Mildura.

Local rider Justin Sedgmen is coming off a strong European speedway season where he again won the British Premier league title for Scottish side Edinburgh,  Sedgmen also was apart of the Speedway Grand Prix Qualifiers and was a reserve for the 2015 Australian Speedway Grand Prix at Etihad Staduim in Melbourne.

Belle Vue rider Fricke is also coming off good form from his season in Europe where his side narrowly missed out on winning the British Elite League title, Fricke also came 6th in the 2015 World under 21 Speedway Championship.

Patrons will be particularly keen to see these boys back in action after there epic battle last time out at the Phil Crump Trophy meeting at the start of November. Sedgmen made the start in the 6 lap 6 rider final and looked like he had the win in the bag but Fricke slowly found a way to reel Sedgmen in and finally pass the local down the back straight on the last lap of the race.

Speaking before the event Sedgmen said ” I need to win this won and get one back on Max, to his credit he rode well last time out and pipped me at the post but its only 4 laps this time so we will see how we go”.

Gates open at 5pm junior racing at 6 and senior racing from 7.30 tickets can be purchased at the gate no byo by law.
